The Richard R. Cook Endowment for the benefit of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd

planned giving

“The minister of the congregation is directed to instruct the people, from time to time, about the duty of Christian parents to make prudent provision for the well-being of their families, and of all persons to make wills, while they are in health, arranging for the disposal of their temporal goods, not neglecting, if they are able, to leave bequests for religious and charitable uses.”  -The Book of Common Prayer, page 44

You really care about some things. In fact, you care about them so much that you would like them to continue and to develop and to thrive even after you are gone. You want to make sure that they are around for the future. That is why we fund future ministry by making planned gifts – gifts that we have thought about ahead of time, and planned for so that they will make a difference in the future. That way, the things that we really care about will develop and thrive.

We can help. We have resources to help you with Planned Giving as well as Planning for End of Life Decisions. We would be happy to provide you with some materials to help you discern the decisions to be made and begin a conversation. Please contact Fr. Michael Mills or Debra Pyke to begin the process or ask a question.
