join us on sunday

We are located at...

11122 Midway Road, Dallas, TX 75229

Parking is easy to find.

Parking is available along both Midway and Northaven, as well as between the church and Town North YMCA, and south of the church at Good Shepherd Episcopal School. If you need to drop off your passengers before parking, you can use our covered drop-off which faces Midway Road.

We are here to help.

If you have any questions once inside, you will find friendly greeters at the Newcomer's station near the glass doors facing Midway. They can point you in the right direction for worship, Sunday school, the nursery, restrooms, etc.

Our sanctuary is equipped with a Telecoil hearing loop and we have listening devices available for use during worship for those with hearing difficulties.

what to expect

Worship at Good Shepherd is traditional, reflecting the ancient roots of the Episcopal Church. Our worship includes times of teaching, fellowship, congregational songs, and we celebrate communion together each week. We offer two services each Sunday, morning prayer during the workweek and communion on Thursdays at 10 AM.

Children of all ages are always welcome in our services. Should you choose, our professionally staffed nursery is available from 8 AM- 12 noon on Sundays for children 0 to 3 years old and is located across from the Education Wing. Children’s Chapel, for second graders and younger, is available at our 10:30 service.

8 am traditional communion service

Our first service on Sunday mornings provides a time of quiet contemplation and participation in the Liturgy of the Lord's Table or communion. In this simple, yet reverent service you can expect a time of worship focused on scripture, prayer, and thought-provoking sermons.

Sunday school (or Spiritual Formation)

It is our hope here at Good Shepherd that everyone seeking to grow in their faith has an opportunity to do so. Spiritual Formation is our way of saying "Sunday School", but this educational hour is so much more than that. Adults, students, and children can learn and grow in traditional classroom settings or choose to participate in one of our choirs that meets during this time. No matter your age, we hope you will find something here to help you grow in your faith and Christian life.

10:30 am traditional communion with choirs

Our second service on Sunday mornings includes music from our Adult Choir throughout most of the year, as well as our children's and community choirs on alternating Sundays. During the summer, we welcome guest musicians each week. If you arrive early and already hear the organ playing, don't worry, that's just the pre-service music that we encourage you to sit and enjoy while you prepare yourself for worship.

We join together to praise God in community by listening to the reading of Scripture and teachings, and by celebrating communion together.

A coffee hour is held both before and after this service in the Parish Hall.
