youth ministry
The goal of Youth Ministry at Good Shepherd is to equip young people for a lifelong journey of growing in the knowledge and love of God. Every youth at Good Shepherd is provided with opportunities to participate in transcendent worship, spiritually formative learning, and transformative service. Our programs involve weekly worship and Bible study, community service and missional outreach, and lots of good food and fun.
Sundays
student formation (6th - 12th Grade)| 9:15 AM | youth rm.
Join us each Sunday as our youth gather to explore the lectionary and weekly church lessons in a way that’s both meaningful and easy to understand. Through engaging discussions, creative activities, and a welcoming environment that encourages questions, students will deepen their faith while forming lasting friendships. Whether you're new to church or have grown up in it, Youth Sunday School is a place where you can connect, learn, and grow together.
Youth Group | Sundays | 6:15 - 8 PM | Parish Hall
We will gather for food, fellowship, and a devotional.
Confirmation | twice a month | 5 - 6 PM | Conference Room
For students interested in being confirmed who are in 6th grade or older.
wednesdays
Coffee Talk | Wednesdays | 7:00 PM | Starbucks on Forest Ln.
This Bible study is for senior high students (9th-12th graders). We will engage in serious discussions about the Gospels and how we can apply them to our lives as young adults.
community choir
The Community Choir is open to students in 6th - 12th grades and brings together students from the church, Good Shepherd Episcopal School, and our surrounding neighborhood schools. Some scholarship spots are available. If you have questions or are interested in joining this choir, please contact Community Choir Director Aaron Easley.
Volunteer
We need you to help make student ministries at Good Shepherd a great one this year! We are required to have 2 adults present at all youth activities. Help us out by signing up to volunteer on Sunday mornings as a Sunday School leader, at event throughout the semester, or by helping with transportation for a special event.
