Annual Meeting

All members of Good Shepherd are invited to breakfast and our 2026 Annual Meeting.
Father Mills will fill us in on our plans for the year ahead. We will share insights into last year’s stewardship campaign, our 2025 financial results, and what’s in store for this year’s budget.
If you're a confirmed member in good standing, you’ll also have the chance to vote for our vestry members and diocesan delegates.
Scout Sunday
All scouts are invited to wear their uniforms to worship at 10:30 AM. Cookie sales will take place in the Atrium between services.

Outreach for Operation Kindness
Our celebration of the Feast of St. Francis continues with treat and toy making for Operation Kindness. All ages are welcome. The church will provide all supplies, and participants are encouraged to bring items to donate to the shelter. View the shelter's Amazon or Chewy wishlists for needed items.

Blessing of the Animals
All creatures great and small are welcome at our annual Blessing of the Animals. Bring your pets, on a leash or in a crate, to receive a blessing and celebrate the important role they play in our lives. This event lasts about half an hour and is open to the community!

Social Saturday
The days are getting shorter and the evenings cooler… which means it’s time for Social Saturday again! Gather with us this month to enjoy dinner together and swap stories from our summer adventures. BYOB and a side dish or dessert to share.

Funeral: Robert Trimble
The Burial Office and Service of Holy Communion for Robert “Bob” Trimble. A reception in the church’s Parish Hall will follow the service.
End-of-Summer Bash
Beat the heat and Labor Day traffic and join us for an end-of-summer bash! We will have food, water fun for the kids, and fireworks to end the night around 8:15 PM.
Youth Service Opportunity
Our youth group will serve dinner to the men and women at Austin Street Center in downtown Dallas. Spots are limited, so sign up on Realm or contact Youth Director Sam John asap.
We will meet at the church at 5pm to travel to ASC together. We will serve until about 7 and then return to the church.
Preschool Summer Playdates
Start your Friday mornings with fun at our weekly Preschool Playdate! Held every Friday at 9:00 AM in June and July, this relaxed gathering on the church playground is a great opportunity for kids under six to play while parents and caregivers connect. No need to sign up—just come by and join the fun! Contact Stephanie Moncrieff for more information.
Christmas in July + Potluck
We are pulling out all the stops for our Christmas in July celebration.
Our school supply drive for Sylvia Mendez CREW Leadership Academy closes on July 20. Return all supplies under the Christmas tree in the Atrium.
We’ll sing Christmas music during 10:30 worship.
Then, what's Christmas without a family dinner? Join your Good Shepherd church family for a Christmas-themed potluck lunch. Turkey, ham, and drinks will be provided. We ask that you bring either a salad, side, or dessert to share. RSVP on Realm.
