Dinner for eight

A Dinner Ministry at Good Shepherd

Share a Meal. Discover Authentic Community.

The idea at the heart of this program is right in the name. Groups of eight will meet several times during the fall to share a meal and make new friends within our parish. We are hoping this new ministry will be a fresh, new way for our members to experience authentic community at Good Shepherd.

Dinner for Eight is designed to help people find community around the sacred act of breaking bread and enjoying a meal together. The book of Acts repeatedly conveys the beauty of gathering together over a meal and we find that beauty to still be present today. We are really excited to see what God is going to do in and through these gatherings.

You can sign up now to be a part of this new ministry, and we will officially mark the beginning of this program with a parish-wide lunch on Sunday, September 17. Participants will be informed of their groups and will then meet twice during the fall before we wrap up in December.

Whether you are brand new to Good Shepherd or if you’ve been in the pews for years, this ministry will help you experience the gift of authentic community that Good Shepherd has to offer.
