ADULT FORMATION

At Good Shepherd, we value learning. The same dedication we bring to worship can be found in the classroom and in small groups as well. Explore scripture, grow in your relationship with Jesus, and learn more about Christian living by joining us on Sunday mornings or during the week in our various Bible studies.

THE PATH

9:15 AM | Parish Hall

This year, Good Shepherd spiritual formation will examine the same stories being preached on from the pulpit each week. Using “The Path: A Journey through the Bible," participants will discuss the Bible stories we know and love, as well as those we may be unfamiliar with. In the end, we hope you will have a sense of the vast sweep of scripture, the entire narrative of the Bible, and better understand the way that those pieces fit together with one another.

We hope you will join us for discussion on Sunday mornings and bring your family as well. All ages levels will be learning about the same Bible stories each week and we encourage you to have conversations at home with your children about what they have learned, taking our faith out of Sunday mornings and into every part of our lives. We believe that walking this path of discipleship together as a Church will draw us closer to one another and to God.

ADULT CHOIR

9:15 am | sanctuary

Music is a very important part of the way we worship at Good Shepherd. Our choir considers it their ministry to provide music on Sundays, and find joy not just in singing, but in helping others to draw near to God. Members practice on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 - 9 PM, as well as Sunday mornings before leading us in worship.

The book club

9:15 am | ccl 101

The Eclectic Book Club is a small group which meets to discuss books they have selected. They read both classical and contemporary literature. As people of faith, they tend to focus on spiritual issues in discussion, yet sometimes the discussion is more varied. Weekly readings are manageable for a busy lifestyle.
