The Women's Guild is a nonprofit auxiliary of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. The objective is to unite and strengthen the women of the parish in their spiritual lives and lead them into service for the church and community. If you are a woman and a member of the church, you are automatically a member of the Women's Guild!
The Women's Guild schedules programs for the enjoyment of the women of Good Shepherd; this year that will include a trip to ICE! at the Gaylord Texan Grapevine in December, annual fall chili cook-off, and a spring luncheon and speaker. The programs are either at the church or an offsite location; check out our quarterly publication, the Voice, which is also on the website for updated date, time and location. We try to appeal to a wide range of interest and to accommodate all women, working and non-working, from September through May, to inspire, educate and entertain.
Apart from our programs, we focus on events such as: Valentine Tea for all Ladies of the church, Easter Egg Hunt, and United Thank Offering. We also provide Baptism Gifts and Monthly Meal Deliveries (for new moms/special request). Our summer camp, which is in late July, is the biggest fundraiser for our organization and is for children 2 yrs. - 8 yrs. As always, we hope to be successful in achieving our goals and objectives while serving our parish and our community.
