Fall Spiritual Formation Classes:

The following are offered on Sunday Mornings 9:15 am to 10:15 am starting September 18, 2011:

Marriage Skills Seminar

Join Fr. Tony and Cherie Welty in Kincaid Pavilion on Sunday mornings this fall as we consider the Seven empirically proven principles enriching every healthy marriage.

Whether you simply want to brush up on the skills you already possess or feel your marriage is in need of a significant tune-up, you're sure to enjoy and benefit from the practical, proven wisdom in this class.

The Reason for God

Parishioners Colin Cahoon and David Pyke team up this fall in the CCL Library to lead a discussion of Tim Keller's New York Times bestselling book The Reason for God. First, you'll observe and listen in on a conversation between a sophisticated group of NYC skeptics and Dr. Tim Keller as they discuss the role of philosophy and faith in the modern era. Then, Colin and David will lead your group in a discussion about faith, religion and some of life's deeper questions.

God's Heart for the Poor

Join Fr. Bill Taylor and others in the Good Shepherd Parish Hall as they examine what the Bible has to say about God's deep love and compassion for humanity, especially the poor and destitute. This class will include hands-on, practical application of biblical principles unearthed and discussed in the class.


Weekday Classes

The following are offered on Wednesday Evenings 6:30pm-8:00pm starting September 21, 2011:

Discovering God's Vision for Your Life: You and Your Spiritual Gifts

Could God really have a vision for your life? How would you know, and if you discovered God's vision for you, what would you do about it? This class meets in the Parish Hall and enables you to complete a spiritual gifts inventory and helps you understand the nature of spiritual gifts, their origin, their purpose and how God intends them to work together to build up the body of Christ in our own day. Fr. Tony will lead this class.
