Junior Choir at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd is a wonderful opportunity for your child to grow in his or her spiritual life and to learn to participate more fully in our Episcopal liturgy. My goals for Junior Choir are three-fold. Our children need to feel part of the worship service. Junior Choir allows our children an opportunity to share a unique gift, something of their very own, in worship to the greater glory of God. Secondly, Junior Choir provides an excellent opportunity to teach our children about Episcopal liturgy and the role of music. And lastly, Junior Choir provides the opportunity for our children to form bonds and build relationships with church friends. These friendships provide a strong foundation for future EYC groups.
Junior Choir is open to all second through fifth graders. Junior Choir practices weekly on Sunday morning from 8:30 to 9:15. We sit together in the Choir loft and sing during the 10:30 service on the first, third and fifth Sundays of each month - September through May. We may sing at various special services the year and we enjoy one or two social events. We welcome your child to join us! For more information, contact Debra Pyke through the church office.
